1955年出生於比利時Limberg省一個音樂氣氛濃厚的家庭，自幼學習小提琴，並悠游於古典及爵士樂之間，經常有作曲、編曲及演出的機會。在取得比利時國立根特大學生物學碩士文憑後，繼續在布魯塞爾皇家音樂院及荷蘭提堡音樂院攻讀取得古典小提琴演奏文憑，之後與同好組織爵士五重奏及三重奏（包括曾到過台灣表演的「The
14 Strings」），曾於法國巴黎擔任歌手William Sheller之專屬樂手達五年之久，期間並參加不同的交響樂團演出，足跡遍佈美洲、亞洲、歐洲等地。在台灣停留的五年間，任教於中國文化大學音樂系及光仁中小學音樂班，並陸續受邀為牛耳藝術公司、台灣四重奏等團體編曲，於台灣、梵諦岡、俄國、美國、哥斯大黎加等地演出。1993年回到比利時後，即從事音樂教育及小提琴演奏、教學工作，並接受德國、荷蘭、比利時等音樂團體委託合作演出並編曲，參與不同領域的音樂製作。
Michel Pieters graduated as a violinist from the Royal Conservatory of Music (Brussels,
Belgium) and the Brabants Conservatorium (Tilburg, The Netherlands). Life unfolded
in chambermusic ensembles and symphony orchestras in Belgium, The Netherlands, and
Taiwan. He toured several years with the french pop singer, William Sheller, participated
in theater productions and worked with his own jazz groups. He performed all over
Europe, in Canada, Taiwan and China. As a composer/arranger he worked for the New
Arts Management (Taiwan), the Taiwan String Quartet, flemish singer Miel Cools, a.o..
His music has been performed in several European countries as well as the Vatican,
Russia (the Moscou Conservatory), the Far East, the U.S.A., and Costa Rica. After
teaching violin for several years at the Chinese Culture University and the Kuang-Jen
High School Music Department (Taiwan), he returned to Belgium. Currently he teaches
violin and works as a freelance musician. He is holding a degree in biology from
the university of Ghent (Belgium) as well.

貝邁克是我十餘年前就讀中國文化大學音樂系時的古典小提琴主修老師，幫我打下紮實的基礎，其後並介紹我到遙遠的比利時學習爵士樂，雖然我從未與他學習過爵士小提琴，但以他跨足多層面音樂及多角度文化的素養，的確對我有極大的啟發，也使我們亦師亦友，互相切磋並分享心得，我也很榮幸地與他有更多合作的機會
